About The Position

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Pigging and Decoking Operator to safely and successfully execute jobs across service lines. The operator represents HPC Industrial and helps maintain ongoing working relationships with clients and customers. The role includes preparing fired heaters for decoking, assisting with mechanical decoking, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining equipment in the field. The position may suit transitioning military personnel seeking to apply their skills and training in civilian work.

Requirements

• Complete specific vocational preparation, including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
• Understand English well enough to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
• Be capable of setting up equipment for the job, including lifting and carrying hoses weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment are preferred.
• Pigging or refinery industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a safety representative and follow company and customer safety policies and procedures, including providing hands-on information about operations, safety, equipment, emergency response, and administrative functions.
• Assist with rigging in to fired heaters in preparation for decoking.
• Assist with the mechanical decoking of fired heaters.
• Operate specialized equipment.
• Examine surface-cleaned areas as needed to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job.
• Provide general maintenance in the field.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Represent HPC Industrial in maintaining working relationships with clients and customers.
