About The Position

Round Hill Country Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Pickleball Professional to join our Racquet Sports team. Located in the beautiful community of Alamo, California, Round Hill Country Club is a premier private club offering an exceptional member experience through golf, racquet sports, swimming, bocce, dining, and social activities. Our growing pickleball program has become a vibrant part of club life, serving members of all ages and skill levels. The Pickleball Professional is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and coaching to members while supporting the continued growth and success of the Club's pickleball program. This position provides private lessons, group clinics, drills, camps, and social programming designed to engage players from beginner through advanced levels. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching, player development, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive pickleball community. In addition to on-court instruction, the Pickleball Professional will play an active role in organizing and expanding programming, including leagues, tournaments, member events, and junior development initiatives. Working closely with the Pickleball Committee and Racquet Sports Operations team, this individual will help create and execute a comprehensive annual programming calendar that enhances member participation, retention, and enjoyment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum two years of experience as an IPTPA or PPR certified instructor preferred
  • IPTPA or PPR Certification required
  • CPR and AED certification required
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching and coaching pickleball players of varying skill levels.
  • Current pickleball teaching certification preferred (PPR, IPTPA, PCI, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Experience organizing leagues, tournaments, and member events.
  • Ability to build relationships and create an engaging member experience.
  • Passion for growing the sport and developing players.

Responsibilities

  • Provide private and group pickleball instruction for members of all ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement clinics, drills, camps, and player development programs.
  • Organize and oversee leagues, round robins, tournaments, and social events.
  • Support junior pickleball programming and youth development initiatives.
  • Assist with member engagement, player assessments, and skill progression plans.
  • Promote participation and growth of the pickleball program throughout the Club.
  • Collaborate with the Pickleball Committee and Racquet Sports staff on program planning and execution.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Maintain professional standards of instruction, court etiquette, and member service.
  • Assist with court scheduling, event administration, and operational needs as required.
