About The Position

As a Warehouse Lead, you will spend most of your time performing core productive functions. You will also coordinate work activities such as real time staffing moves and monitor performance to optimize process flow under the direction of your Operations Supervisors and other leaders. You will help instill a safety culture, identify training needs, and participate in root cause analysis using experience and continuous improvement methodology. You'll also conduct standard work audits to identify gaps in these processes and contribute to leader driven continuous improvement plans. In this role, you'll work with other team members and departments to assess product flow and quality, appropriately recommending to leadership adjustments needed to move product efficiently and safely to achieve goals. Another key component of your job will be, under the direction of your Operations Supervisor, to assign tasks to team members and provide specific work direction along with monitoring progress daily to improve on performance and functional area goals. You will anticipate your leaders' needs and proactively solve problems before they arise. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing “x” lbs. frequently throughout a shift and up to 50lbs. occasionally, and to work within a process path for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to access all areas of the distribution center.
  • Ability to read, use matching skills and comprehend department/product documentation.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training.
  • Strong time-management skills; able to multitask, prioritize and manage requests when received from all departments.
  • 1-3 years of leadership, warehousing or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to be trained on powered equipment safely.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as on a team, providing work direction to team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
