About The Position

Responsible for operating forklifts and cherry pickers to unload materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and picking product for shipment. This role involves accurately picking parts, weighing product, and verifying part numbers and quantities. The material handler will also pack orders into shipping cartons, ensuring all components are accounted for and special customer requirements are met. Maintaining warehouse stock, assisting with inventory counts and audits, and reporting any stock or product issues are key responsibilities. The position also requires maintaining warehouse cleanliness, adhering to safety rules, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
Strong proficiency in English communication including reading, writing, and verbal interactions are required for complying with safety protocols and operational procedures.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1+ years of related job experience preferred.
RF handheld experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
Accurately pick parts throughout the warehouse.
Weigh product using the proper scales.
Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy.
Accurately pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer.
Read customer order notes and fill the order with any special customer requirements.
Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies.
Assist in counting physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed.
Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues.
Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
Follow all safety rules.
Other duties as assigned.
