About The Position

This is a Part-Time Role, Direct Hire from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm Monday thru Friday with additional hours as Needed or Required. The role involves ensuring that merchandise is safely, accurately, and efficiently picked and processed as required by Petco Stores and Distribution Centers. This job is composed of several tasks that are routine and repetitive in nature and are repeated several times during the course of the day. The position requires picking merchandise from warehouse stock bins and shelves, packaging merchandise for shipment in boxes, ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed, and accurately completing associated paperwork. Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area according to Petco DC Sanitation policy, assisting in maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse, and performing work in a manner that adheres to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations are also key functions. Observing and promoting established safety procedures and establishing effective working relationships with peers and supervisors by demonstrating behavior that exemplifies integrity and respect in the workplace are expected. A clean warehouse environment is also a responsibility.

Requirements

Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds routinely
Constant exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, fumes, and noise within the warehouse.
Risk of injury should not be overlooked.

Responsibilities

Safely pick merchandise picked from warehouse stock bins and shelves
Package merchandise for shipment in boxes; ensure correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed.
Accurately complete associated paperwork, including, but not limited to: standards and Petco policies and procedures, production sheets related to the Labor Management Program, etc.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area as regulated by the Petco DC Sanitation policy.
Assist in maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse.
Perform work in a manner that adheres to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Observe and promote established safety procedures.
Establish effective working relationships with peers and supervisors by demonstrating behavior that exemplifies integrity and respect in the workplace.
Maintain a clean warehouse environment.
