1st Shift Picker
About The Position
The Picker accurately and efficiently selects product and prepares orders for shipment while following safety regulations and meeting quality standards. The role helps maintain an efficient flow of product through the production process and requires working independently while communicating with other departments verbally, in writing, and by computer. The Picker also works as a team member within the department and organization and performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time first-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 AM. Shifts end when daily work is completed, so end times may vary depending on volume. Pay is $18.00–$19.25 per hour, including a $1.25 freezer differential, plus incentive pay.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 months of warehouse and/or production work experience.
- At least 3 months of electric pallet jack experience.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of warehouse and/or production work experience.
- OSHA forklift operator certificate.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently pick and pack product according to established standards.
- Operate scanning equipment.
- Pack orders according to customer requirements and/or provided specifications.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Identify mistakes and problems, recommend solutions, provide timely feedback, involve others in problem-solving when needed, and see responsibilities through to completion.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
