Day Shift Picker/Packer
About The Position
The distribution Piece Rate worker performs a variety of tasks within the distribution center to support filling and shipping customer orders that meet customer requirements. The position requires transferring between jobs as needed. The worker picks and/or packs products for shipment using a radio frequency (RF) device, works to meet timeliness and quality expectations, follows safety and work guidelines, and keeps the work area clean and orderly. The role may involve work near conveyors and rolling stock, as well as exposure to noise and dust common in a distribution center.
Requirements
- Able to read shipping labels printed in English.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good quality and attendance.
- Able to carry up to 35 pounds consistently.
- Occasional overhead reaching and lifting is required.
Responsibilities
- Pick and/or pack products for shipment to customers using a radio frequency (RF) device.
- Ensure products are picked and/or packed on time and to a high quality standard.
- Transfer to other distribution center functions as directed by the supervisor when needed.
- Follow safety and work guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
