About The Position

The Picker/Packer sorts and moves materials and goods in a warehouse; picks, inspects, and packs products according to order slips; labels boxes and packing materials before shipment; and stocks and restocks warehouse materials. The role uses computer systems and scanners to manage orders and may involve operating pallet jacks or forklifts to transport goods. The Picker/Packer follows safety practices and helps ensure warehouse and production goals are met. Other responsibilities with similar skills and working conditions may be assigned.

This is a full-time, regular, hourly, non-exempt position scheduled six days per week, Sunday through Friday, with a 9 a.m. start. Work may take place in cold or wet areas and requires extended periods standing and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights of up to 50 pounds and, at times, up to 80 pounds.

Requirements

• Computer literate.
• Able to read and know basic math.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds; some heavy lifting is required.
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 80 pounds.
• Able to stay on feet for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a cold or wet area.
