About The Position

The Picker/Packer will have a key role in the efficient distribution of our warehouse deliveries and arrivals. This role involves handling pick tickets/orders, pulling items from warehouse inventory, using RF guns and other electronic equipment, and physically pulling warehouse items according to specified requirements. The position also includes packing/wrapping orders, preparing them for shipment, and transporting them to shipping locations using appropriate material handling equipment. Ensuring orders are staged correctly for delivery, operating material handling equipment safely, and assisting in maintaining warehouse security and safety are also key responsibilities. The role may also involve assisting in placing incoming items into inventory and conducting warehouse inventory counts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One or more years’ experience coordinating shipments in a warehousing or distribution environment.
Ability to perform tasks under pressure, and within a deadline driven environment.
Ability to handle detail-oriented work to ensure proper items and quantities are picked to arrive at customers in good condition.
General fluency in English required, verbal and written.
Agility to stand and walk for extended periods of time as a primary job responsibility.
Capacity to lift and carry up to 50lbs intermittently during a typical work shift.
Observance of established safety guidelines in conducting physical work activity duties.
Perform job duties in severe weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
Walk for distances of 100 yards repeatedly and without assistance.
Lift 50 pounds and without assistance or equipment
Utilize all material handling equipment without assistance.
Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, and reach above and below should level
Ability to perform repetitive motions and sustain physical activity for extended periods
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are required

Responsibilities

Handle pick tickets/orders from warehouse management/staff to pull items from warehouse inventory.
Use RF guns and other electronic equipment, as necessary.
Physically pulls warehouse items by the stated number, size, color, quantity, quality, etc. requirements.
Compare and inspect physical items pulled to the requirements of the pick ticket/order.
Pack/wrap orders as required by item/delivery type and prepare for shipment.
Transport orders to shipping locations/bins/docks using the proper material handling equipment.
Ensure that orders are staged correctly for each delivery.
Operate any material handling equipment following established safety guidelines.
Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.
May assist in placing incoming items in inventory.
Assist with conducting warehouse inventory counts as required.
Other duties as assigned
