About The Position

Gentell, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Pick and Pack Associate to join their team. This is a full-time position within a growing industry leader in the medical sphere, focused on providing wound care products and programs to the long-term care industry. The company boasts a high customer satisfaction rate and a comprehensive Total Wound Care Solution aimed at improving patient outcomes, controlling costs, and reducing nursing time. The Pick and Pack Associate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate fulfillment of daily product orders, using computer software to pick, pack, and prepare a variety of wound care and skin care products for shipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • 1 year or more experience in picking and packing
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people
  • Proficient with using tools required for this position
  • Physically agile and dexterous
  • Proficient organizational skills
  • Ability to meet specifics of customer orders in an accurate and timely manner
  • Good computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with shipping software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assemble boxes.
  • Bundle products into packs.
  • Pull and pack product based on daily orders.
  • Verify quantity and item codes before shipment.
  • Generate shipping labels using software.
  • Ensure correct shipping information is inserted/attached.
  • Seal and tag containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets to confirm.
  • Move completed orders to shipping area.
  • Receive incoming freight and store materials in the appropriate areas.
  • Operate a forklift to load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
  • Utilize a continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Assist with replenishing stock, taking inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
