About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking an educator to teach piano lessons and inspire students of varying ages and skill levels. The teacher will create an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, build relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and coordinate with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time and is located in San Antonio, Texas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on piano.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
