About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a piano teacher to teach and inspire students of varying ages and skill levels. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment; builds positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; and partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. The role provides an opportunity to share musical expertise and foster students’ growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The stated pay is $12.77 per hour for non-teaching work and $11–$22 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors, and ranges may differ by location. The position also offers gig leave for musician employees, 401(k) with company match, and an employee discount program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially with piano.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching voice or related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially across multiple instruments.
