Piano Teacher - Guilderland Music Academy (W2, Benefits Available)
About The Position
One Music Schools is seeking an experienced piano teacher to join our team at our New York studio, Guilderland Music Academy! We are a team of passionate musicians who LOVE sharing our gifts with others! We offer benefits, flexible scheduling, and a fun work environment. Our admin team handles all business operations including scheduling new students into your schedule, marketing, billing, planning recitals and events, etc. — enabling you to focus solely on engaging your students. We have a fully stocked incentive store for students and offer amazing performance opportunities for both students and teachers. We also provide ongoing training and career development (all of which is paid) and company parties, raffles/prizes, and events with others in the music industry.
Requirements
- Must be able to demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill level during an interview
- Must give a minimum of a 1-year commitment to teaching with us

Nice To Haves
- Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to connect with people of all ages and skill levels
- Degree in Music Education or Music Performance is not required, but is always a plus
- Open to first-time teachers and experienced teachers alike
- The ability to teach on multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.) is always welcome!
Responsibilities
- Instructing students for 30 minute lessons
- Assessing new student abilities
- Creating lesson plans
- Preparing students for recitals
- Facilitating student participation in recitals
- Assisting students in reaching their goals for learning
- Communicating with parents/guardians on students progress
