Piano Teacher for Children-Part Time

About The Position

Move Over Mozart is hiring a part-time piano teacher to teach small-group classes for children in Bellevue, Kirkland, or Redmond. Classes take place at local schools or community centers and serve preschool- through elementary-age students, grouped by age and ability. Lessons are interactive, joyful, and paced to support each child’s growth. Teachers use the studio’s beginner curriculum, lesson outlines, objectives, and materials to plan classes and create an engaging, supportive learning environment. Hands-on training is provided for teaching different age groups, leading group piano classes, and planning motivating lessons. Training, mentorship, and continued support are available in and outside the classroom. The teacher works independently during classes while participating in a collaborative team.

Requirements

Have experience working with young children and enjoy helping them explore, create, and express themselves.
Have studied piano with a teacher and possess a solid understanding of music theory and technique.
Be excited about teaching and helping others grow.
Be open to learning, coaching, and thoughtful feedback.
Bring patience, flexibility, and a connection-focused approach to working with children.
Be organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
Have personal transportation.
Be available on weekday afternoons during after-school hours.
Live in or near Bellevue, Kirkland, or Redmond.
Commit to teaching for at least one year.
