The Physiotherapist (PT) is an integral member of the Physiotherapy service, Allied Health and clinical programs in which care is provided. Through the provision of patient and non-patient care activities, the PT enhances the quality of life of patients by providing physical therapy assessment and treatment for Musculoskeletal, Geriatrics and Multi-systems patients for weekend therapy and admissions, assessing for and prescribing mobility aids, collaborating with the inter-professional team in providing patient-focused care, communicating effectively with patients, families, and team members, participating in program planning and development and professional and hospital initiatives supporting quality management and research, and complying with and commitment to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients.
