This is a Medical Physics Residency Program. The resident will satisfactorily complete all rotations and responsibilities as defined by the Residency Director. They will attend all physics lectures given by the Medical Physics staff for the Department’s Physician Residents and will take all tests given as part of this course. The resident will also attend all Molecular Radiobiology lectures given by the Molecular Radiobiology staff for the Department’s Physician Residents and will take all tests given as part of this course. Mock-oral reviews will be satisfactorily completed at 12 and 18 months. The resident will rotate with the Staff Physicists in External Beam, Brachytherapy, Advanced Technologies, and satellites when necessary. Participation in three (3) consecutive annuals and monthly QA’s is required before joining rotational coverage. This includes simulators and CT simulators. Participation in ten (10) consecutive IMRT QA’s and HDR warm-ups is required before joining respective rotations. Participation in three (3) HDR monthlies is required before joining the HDR monthly QA rotation. The resident will participate in research and clinical projects as deemed necessary for clinical development and as approved by the Residency Director and the Director of Medical Physics.
