About The Position

South Louisiana Community College is seeking a Physics/Physical Science Instructor to join their Academic & Student Affairs department, specifically within the STEM, Transportation & Energy sub-department. This is an unclassified faculty position with a 9-month appointment. The role involves teaching, student evaluation, institutional and community service, and professional development. The instructor will be responsible for preparing course materials, presenting courses, and evaluating student performance. Additionally, they will contribute to institutional service, community service, and student services. Research and professional development activities include maintaining professional relationships, continuing education, publishing, and research. The position requires predictable and reliable attendance and may involve additional duties assigned by college leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s of Science in Physics/Physical Science or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Physics/Physical Science.
