About The Position

YuJa is seeking energetic and talented individuals with excellent analytical skills to work in a state-of-the-art software-hardware company. Given our past experience in hiring for this position, individuals with higher university degree in Physics have been very successful at this job. If you are a Physics grad with university degree and excellent communication skills and you want to make a switch from Physics to Software Engineering, this job is for you. Some experience working with modern computer software tools and technologies is strongly desired. Therefore, having some programming background is a definite plus but not mandatory. These positions are for individuals who possess a mix of business aptitude and academic expertise.

Requirements

  • Excellent time and task management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technically skilled with good problem-solving abilities (Think on Your Feet)
  • Ability to provide timely responses to all incoming requests immediately or within 1 hour.
  • Ability to provide excellent follow-through on all open, pending, and resolved tickets that come to helpdesk
  • 1 year or more of basic technical support experience
  • 1 year or more customer support experience
  • Solid academic background
  • Bachelor’s degree with Physics or Math-Physics major

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience working with modern computer software tools and technologies is strongly desired.
  • Having some programming background is a definite plus but not mandatory.
  • Any level of proficiency in French or Spanish, though not mandatory, would be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in creating and implementing thorough test plans and test cases in accordance with project specifications.
  • Competence in manual testing software to evaluate both functionality and performance.
  • Skill in documenting and communicating defects effectively, offering developers precise and comprehensive information for prompt resolution.
  • Capability to conduct regression testing to verify that software alterations do not introduce fresh issues.
  • Proficiency in meticulously maintaining comprehensive test documentation, encompassing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Competence in monitoring testing progress and promptly reporting issues to project stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under flexible hours like evenings, midnight, and weekends
  • Proficient in the use of online and remote-connecting software
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a non-scripted helpdesk environment. This position requires the ability to examine, question, explore and troubleshoot a variety of issues.
  • Assess severity/impact level and prioritize support requests accordingly. And escalate to technical lead if needed.
