About The Position

Kent Place School is seeking a Science teacher with expertise and experience in teaching Physics for grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for collaborating with an inquiry-based department, advising a group of students, and participating in community events. Responsibilities include curriculum development and promoting STEM fields at the secondary or university level. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field.
  • Fluency with learning management systems.
  • Fluency with Google Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience in AP Physics C.
  • Experience with curriculum writing.
  • Experience teaching in an inquiry-based program at the high school level.
  • Master's degree in Science, a related field, or Education/Teaching.
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior teaching experience.
  • Experience or a strong disposition towards research-based strategies in teaching in STEM fields to empower girls and young women.
