About The Position

Kent Place School is seeking dedicated part-time Instrumental Music Specialists committed to fostering a love of performance in young students within our thriving instrumental music program. We are currently looking for specialists in the following areas: Upper String Specialist (Violin/Viola), String Specialist (Cello/Bass), Woodwind Specialist, and Brass Specialist. The specialists will work across divisions (grades 3 - 12) to support the technical and musical growth of our students.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related academic field or in Music Education/Teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading beginning instructional classes for Grades 3–5.
• Conducting Middle and Upper School sectional rehearsals.
• Coaching chamber music ensembles.
• Providing high-quality private lessons.
• Participating in and supporting student performances throughout the school year.
