About The Position

Part-time (12-20 hours/week) contract position available for Florida Licensed Physician (MD/DO) at Operation PAR’s Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) programs in Inverness and/or Spring Hill, Florida. MAPS provides quality outpatient opioid maintenance therapy to individuals with Opioid Use Disorder. Operation PAR, Inc. is a full service nonprofit organization that has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical service and research.

Requirements

  • Florida Medical License in good standing
  • Current DEA license
  • Able to use Electronic Medical Record
  • Computer proficiency (able to accurately type with reasonable speed).
  • Ability to understand and follow federal & state regulations governing clinic functioning
  • Must pass level II background and drug screen
  • Ability to write accurately and legibly
  • Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
  • Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach
  • Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Good hearing and vision

Nice To Haves

  • Addiction and/or mental health experience preferred
  • Medicaid Provider number preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clinical leader of a multidisciplinary team comprised of APRNs, nurses, consultant pharmacist, counselors and therapists.
  • Responsible for provision and coordination of care to MAPS patients.
  • Conducts new patient admissions, manages inductions and ongoing problem cases, and conducts annual reviews.
  • Conducts weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meeting to discuss individual patient treatment issues (positive drug screens, medication dosage adjustments, medical/mental health concerns, etc.).
  • Supervises APRNs under protocol.
  • Commitment to workplace of dignity and respect.
