About The Position

NextCare is seeking a part-time Physician to provide urgent care in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The role offers a varied, fast-paced clinical environment with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations. Clinicians are supported by experienced clinical teams, peer relationships, practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership offering real-time guidance and mentorship. The position is described as offering flexible scheduling, schedules released in advance, and no after-hours tasks. The schedule is four 12-hour shifts per month. Standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. Compensation is $120–$130 per hour based on experience, plus bonus. A full-benefits package is available. Requirements

Active, unrestricted Wyoming MD or DO license.
Board certification or eligibility, as applicable.
Active DEA license or ability to obtain one.
Ability to treat patients of all ages.
Active BLS certification.
EHR proficiency.
Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
DOT certification or willingness to obtain it; fees are covered.

Nice To Haves

Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience.
Strong procedural skills, such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
Experience with initial X-ray interpretation before radiology over-read.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests and imaging.
Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management, as applicable.
Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
Code and bill services appropriately.
Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
