About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is seeking motivated MDs and DOs to provide mobile wound care in nursing facilities. This role offers an alternative to traditional hospital employment, focusing on patient care with minimal administrative burden. As an independent contractor, physicians will have autonomy in clinical decision-making and patient management, utilizing the latest advancements in wound healing. The position emphasizes practicing pure medicine, free from hospital politics and administrative overhead, with a focus on a vulnerable geriatric population.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Active, clear, and unrestricted Texas medical license.
Active and unrestricted DEA license.

Nice To Haves

No prior experience in wound care is required.
Residency program completion is not required.
Board Certification/Eligibility is not required.

Responsibilities

Provide critical, hands-on wound care to a geriatric population in nursing facilities.
Make independent clinical decisions regarding patient treatment and outcomes.

Manage patient care without direct supervision from hospital administration.
