About The Position

Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City is seeking a Pediatric Urologist to join their team, which currently includes three pediatric urologists, seven nurse practitioners and additional professionals with knowledge and experience in Pediatric Urology. Our pediatric urology section with a presence in both Missouri and Kansas serves a high volume of patients who are drawn primarily from Kansas, Western Missouri and other adjacent states, but also nationally and internationally. We are interested in applicants who are in, or have completed, training at an ABU accredited fellowship. Individuals with interest in any niche of practice will find opportunities here. We have special interest in persons with experience and expertise in the areas of Urologic Oncology & Reconstruction, but our flexibility allows for the development of nearly any focus of interest. Our urology service includes multispecialty efforts including Spinal Differences Clinic; an Advanced Practitioner Nurse run DUCK Clinic (Dysfunctional Urologic Conditions in Kids), GUIDE Clinic - treating patients with Difference of Sex Development, and a Comprehensive Colorectal Clinic with Incorporation of Bladder and Cloacal exstrophy. Our multispecialty team benefits from a monthly Nephrology/Radiology/Urology Conference conducted for integrated assessment and care of complex patients. Our affiliation with the University of Kansas Urology Department allows faculty mentorship and teaching for rotating urology residents with participation in weekly Radiology Case Conferences and monthly Journal Club. Academic rank at the University of Missouri — Kansas City is commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
