Physician - Virtual Health Assessment (Part-Time)
About The Position
Oscar Medical Group is seeking an innovative Physician to join their Virtual Health Assessment team in a part-time capacity. The role involves refactoring healthcare by helping members achieve their healthcare goals in a personalized way. This is a remote, part-time W2 position, requiring 20-29 hours per week, with shifts falling between Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm EST and Friday-Saturday 8am-6pm EST. The role requires one late day shift per week (ending at 8pm EST) and one Saturday shift per quarter. The Physician will deliver quality care to patients via phone and video on Oscar's platforms and will also serve as a supervising physician to Advanced Practice Providers. The position reports to the Director, Virtual Health Assessment. Oscar Medical Group fosters a blended work culture where remote employees feel connected to their teammates, culture, and mission. While the daily work is from a home office, occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events.
Requirements
- Board-certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Must be licensed in TN and FL or Texas (full license, not telehealth)
- Active IMLCC or eligible to apply
- Willingness to be licensed in additional states with our assistance, working with our licensing vendor
- 3+ years experience in an outpatient family or internal medicine practice.
- Experience with value based care documentation standards
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of Telemedicine experience
- Spanish fluency
- Regulatory supervision experience of Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants within state by state regulations
- Provide medical care virtually (by phone, video, & message) in alignment with Oscar Medical Group guidelines, practices and policies
- Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and other providers across service lines
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
