About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is seeking motivated physicians to lead wound care initiatives within Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout Allegheny County and the surrounding Western PA region. This opportunity offers a path away from the rigid "system" culture of major local networks and provides a predictable schedule without the burden of hospital call, aiming for a better quality of life. The role emphasizes practicing medicine in a personal way, offering clinical sovereignty where physicians lead the clinical direction based on their expertise. An efficient documentation system is in place to minimize after-hours charting.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Clear/Unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Surgeons of all backgrounds, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine physicians are welcome.
• No previous wound care experience is required; comprehensive specialty training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead wound care initiatives within Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Perform Surgical Debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Utilize advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Engage in collaborative care within the post-acute setting.
