About The Position

We are seeking a board certified or board eligible dermatologist to join our Minnesota practice in a role split between Mohs surgery and general dermatology, two days of each per week. A sign on bonus is available for this position. This is an established position with an existing patient base and a full support team already in place. The schedule is productive from the first week rather than one that has to be built from the ground up. Our Minnesota practice operates across our Burnsville, Wayzata, and Sartell locations, with a practice administrator and dedicated clinical staff supporting the service line. Specific location assignment will be discussed during the interview process. Two days per week of Mohs micrographic surgery and two days per week of general dermatology. The position is available immediately.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology or the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology
  • Active and unrestricted Minnesota medical license, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
  • Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
  • Demonstrated competency in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery through the ACGME or the American College of Mohs Surgery
  • Experience in a private practice or multi site group setting
  • Cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology experience
  • Electronic medical record experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, including tissue processing oversight, margin interpretation, and reconstruction
  • Provide general dermatology care including medical dermatology, skin cancer screening, biopsies, and in office procedures
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of dermatologic conditions across an established patient panel
  • Direct and collaborate with histotechnicians, Mohs technicians, and medical assistants supporting the surgical service
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate with referring physicians and communicate findings and treatment plans clearly
  • Participate in quality assurance and adherence to appropriate use criteria for Mohs surgery
  • Contribute to the training and clinical development of support staff and advanced practice providers
