About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is a national physician group seeking motivated MDs and DOs to provide mobile wound care to geriatric patients in nursing facilities. This role offers an alternative to traditional hospital employment, focusing on clinical autonomy and reduced administrative burden. As an independent contractor, physicians will manage patient care and outcomes, with the company handling facility contracts and billing. The position emphasizes practicing medicine without hospital politics or extensive data entry, utilizing a custom software system to minimize documentation time.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Active, clear, and unrestricted Texas medical license.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA license.

  • You do not need to be Board Certified/Eligible to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical, hands-on wound care to a geriatric population in nursing facilities.
  • Make independent clinical decisions regarding patient treatment.
