About The Position

Requirements

  • Medical doctorate (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university.
  • Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting.
  • Licensed in the state of employment.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications.
  • Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine.

Nice To Haves

  • Women's health experience preferred.
  • Psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and treating patients’ physical health, including conducting exams and coordinating outside referrals.
  • Oversight of clinical care activities provided by ARNPs, including documentation and after-hours on-call responsibilities.
  • Performing minor procedures.
  • Collaborating with psychiatric and interdisciplinary staff to ensure integrated care.
  • Educating patients and families.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
  • Tailoring treatment plans to the patient's age and development.
  • Assess patients’ physical health through examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow-ups.
  • Offer clinical oversight and support to ARNPs, including care provision and documentation review.
  • Perform minor medical procedures such as sutures, IV placement, and lumbar puncture.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and families.
