About The Position

Your responsibilities include providing primary health care services consistent with accepted medical practices, training, accreditation standards, and in compliance with Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Requirements

• Licensed California Physician
• Medi-Cal approved
• DEA certification required
• BLS certification required
• Current and in good standing: CDL, vehicle insurance and DMV printout

Nice To Haves

• Board Certified preferred
• 2 years Clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical services to Community Health Center (CHC) patients, including preventative care, chronic illness and disease management, and other areas of family medicine.
• Provide interdepartmental medical consultation as requested.
• May be required to provide clinical supervision of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as needed, after one year of service.
• Serve as a liaison with the local medical community.
• Initiate appropriate specialty referrals.
• Advise Management of any problems that can affect the efficiency of the Medical Department.
• Record patient chart entries in Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) format.
• Complete appropriate documentation necessary for Data and Billing Departments within 3 business days.
• Advise nursing staff of appropriate response to patient phone calls.
