About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute are seeking a Vascular Surgeon. This position offers ranks from Assistant Professor to Professor. The successful candidate will practice vascular surgery, provide excellent patient care, and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The role is primarily based in Charleston, WV, with potential assignments at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, requiring travel. The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute is a collaborative environment focused on advanced medicine and achieving great quality outcomes, utilizing new technology and developing the latest techniques. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed general surgery residency program.
  • Completed a vascular surgery fellowship program or a vascular surgery residency.
  • Board certified / eligible in vascular surgery.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of vascular surgery.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, which may involve travel.
