About The Position

Hartford Healthcare-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physicians with urgent care or emergency room experience to join their expanding network in Connecticut. The role involves treating both adult and pediatric patients and offers various opportunities and locations within the region. Physicians will independently perform a wide range of clinical services, including treating acute conditions, selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and therapeutic procedures.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical school required
2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
Adult and pediatric practice experience
Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
Active state medical licensure
Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.

Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

Examining and treating patients
Taking patients’ medical histories
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
Educating and counseling patients
Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
Supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervision
Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)
