About The Position

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join our busy, collegial team trauma team at Kennestone. This is a Level 1 trauma center located in Marietta, just Northwest of Atlanta, and features the busiest Emergency department in the state. The position offers GME surgery residency program and teaching opportunities. Approximately 15% of cases involve penetrative trauma. The seasoned trauma program has a large group comprised of 12 physicians and APPs, responsible for covering trauma, surgical critical care for trauma patients, and acute care surgery. The role offers a flexible call schedule with an in-house trauma/EGS call requirement of 7 24-hour calls per month (or 14 12's). ICU week in rotation is shared equally between partners, as is the backup call schedule.
