About The Position

Seeking a Cardiothoracic surgeon to provide hospital coverage at a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. This facility is a level 2 trauma center. The role requires 24-hour CT surgery coverage for specific dates, with flexibility for providers who can cover some but not all dates. The surgeon will be responsible for CABG and valve cases, as well as Thoracic coverage for a level 2 trauma center. The EMR system used is Epic.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
• ACLS, BLS, DEA certifications
• Availability at the time of name clear
• A Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of the presentation date
• Must perform cardiac and Thoracic cases

Nice To Haves

• State License – Highly Preferred
• Active IMLC accepted
• Clean Malpractice – Highly Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour CT surgery coverage.
• Perform CABG and valve cases.
• Provide Thoracic coverage for a level 2 trauma center.
• Be available for on-call duties, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required orientation and training.
• Adhere to specified rates for services, including malpractice.
