About The Position

Emory at LaGrange Orthopaedics & Spine clinics offers a full range of services, from non-surgical treatments to surgical options, aiming to help patients return to a full and active lifestyle or develop strategies to improve their health. The LaGrange outpatient clinics service a populous of more than 250,000. With increasing patient population and community growth, there is an opportunity to see and treat a broad range of medical conditions alongside a diverse demographic. LaGrange offers a mild climate and an extraordinary lakefront community with outdoor activities on West Point Lake, a reasonable cost of living, an exciting art scene, The Thread trail, excellent schools, and easy access to mountains, beaches, and an international airport. The area is also home to Georgia’s International Business Park (GIPB), Troup County, which hosts the largest business park in the southeast and the 4th largest in the world, representing 18 countries and major corporations. This role is for a Spine Proceduralist specializing in injections, pain management procedures, light opioid prescription authority, and minimally invasive procedures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in musculoskeletal and nerve-related conditions and will work closely with the Emory Pain Management Clinic.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.).
  • Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
  • Hold a valid DEA certificate without restriction.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be computer literate.

Nice To Haves

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient medical practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to the needs of all patients within the scope of licensing, training and credentialing.
  • Attend to the medical needs of all patients by performing patient care activities to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Physician.
  • Assist in generating adequate practice volume.
  • Participate in on-call duties.
  • Actively participate in meetings and committees.
  • Practice medicine within the current scope of national patient safety goals.
