Physician - Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon
About The Position
Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center (PHSC) is seeking a Physician specializing in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery. This role offers an academic partnership with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, providing opportunities for teaching residents and fellows, participating in research, and contributing to a large ACGME-accredited Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship. The position involves a high-complexity clinical mix of shoulder and elbow reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, trauma, and complex upper extremity cases, supported by advanced surgical facilities and integrated rehabilitation services. You will join a collegial faculty of 17 fellowship-trained upper extremity surgeons and collaborate with experienced APPs, therapists, and administrative professionals. The primary practice locations are Philadelphia, Langhorne, and King of Prussia, offering a desirable lifestyle with access to cultural amenities and travel opportunities.
Requirements
- MD/DO from an accredited institution.
- Fellowship in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery or Upper Extremity Surgery from an accredited program.
- Board-eligible or Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- State licensure will be obtained during onboarding.
- Multi-state practice may include PA, NJ, and DE.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, patient-centered shoulder and elbow care across clinic, OR, and call settings.
- Teach and mentor fellows and residents through clinical rotations, lectures, and educational sessions (as desired).
- Collaborate on clinical outcomes, research, and academic initiatives within a productive, multidisciplinary environment.
