The Department of Radiation Oncology at City of Hope National Medical Center, a nationally-recognized cancer institute, is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified radiation oncologist with an MD/PhD or MD degree to join as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The department focuses on delivering world-class, state-of-the-art radiation therapy and clinical care to patients with cancer and benign diseases. City of Hope's Department of Radiation Oncology is known for its evidence-based clinical care, technological advancements, and translation of discoveries from research to clinical practice. The department is part of a scientifically rich cancer center with national recognition in various research programs, including DNA repair, cancer genetics, cancer immunology, genomics, theranostics, and radionuclides. The successful applicant is expected to develop an academic laboratory-based program relevant to radiation therapy and will have up to 80% dedicated research time with a generous academic start-up package and support. The Elsie & Robert Pierson Radiation Oncology Center offers advanced technologies, and the Radiation Oncology Network serves four counties in the greater Los Angeles region.
