About The Position

Cognito Systems, a joint venture between Resolution Think and Quarter Line Consulting Services, is seeking a Rehab and Physical Medicine Physician to work on-site at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss, TX. As a civilian contractor, you will provide essential healthcare services to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families, contributing to the well-being of those who serve our nation.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
  • Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
  • Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).
  • One year experience in the last two years prior to contract execution as a PM&R Physician. Time in residency does not count towards the one year of experience.

  • The DoD only recognizes certifications issued by boards that are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
  • Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
  • Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
  • Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
  • Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
  • Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
  • Shall have an NPI and DEA registration and the Contractor shall ensure these are renewed/remain current throughout the performance on the contract.
