About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join its Behavioral Health team in Woodstock, Illinois. The role offers the opportunity to practice across multiple levels of care, contribute to service line development, and help expand access to high-quality mental health services in the region. The position is 0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week, and includes day-shift work.

Requirements

MD or DO degree and completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
Strong commitment to patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Nice To Haves

Experience or interest in developing or providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Experience or interest in developing or providing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
Experience or interest in developing or providing IV Ketamine therapy.
Experience or interest in substance use disorder treatment and program development.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical coverage for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Deliver psychiatric emergency services coverage in collaboration with the care team.
Maintain an outpatient ambulatory clinic, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
Participate in a 1:5 call rotation, including overnight call coverage.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
Support program development and expansion of advanced behavioral health treatment modalities.
