About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine – Eastern Division Department of Behavioral Medicine seeks a Child/Adolescent Psychiatry physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Berkeley and Jefferson County, West Virginia. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia offers a rural atmosphere with a lower cost of living, while being easily accessible to Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD, with close proximity to three international airports. This region is experiencing growth with an influx of urban professionals contributing to local telecommuting and high-tech industries.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed a Psychiatry residency.
  • Completed a Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.
  • Board certified / eligible in Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
