About The Position

HSHS Medical Group is seeking an outpatient Family Medicine physician to join an established and very busy practice. This role is located at HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville, Illinois. The hospital is a 30-bed facility providing emergency care, laboratory and imaging services 24/7, and features an advanced surgery department, inpatient care, rehabilitative therapy, and a wide variety of outpatient services. The practice is located on the hospital campus and is described as thriving with 5 providers and ample space for growth. The location is approximately 3 hours from Chicago and an hour from Champaign. The clinic hours are Monday through Friday, with the potential for 4-day workweeks. The practice utilizes EPIC EMR. HSHS Medical Group is able to support both J-1 and H1B visa needs at this location.

Requirements

  • Clinical doctorate is required.
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.
