About The Position

NorthBay Health is expanding its primary care services into the Napa, California region with the establishment of a new Center of Primary Care. This center will provide exceptional family practice, internal medicine, and pediatric care, supported by compassionate staff and access to a network of specialists. The goal is to make healthcare easily accessible, offering same-day and after-hours appointments for minor illnesses and injuries. NorthBay Health is located between the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sacramento, offering a healthy and active lifestyle with abundant recreational opportunities.

Requirements

MD or DO degree
Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
Proven experience in a primary care setting
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary
Represents the practice at Hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group
Collaborate and manage APPs
