About The Position

Benefis is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Physiatrist interested in medical directorship to join their Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation team. This is primarily an inpatient role with occasional outpatient services, offering flexibility based on interests. Requirements

• Board-certified/board-eligible Physiatrist.
• Interest in medical directorship.
• Ability to perform nerve conduction studies.
• Experience with EMG procedures.
• Experience with spasticity management, migraine/headache Botox, Baclofen Intrathecal Pump evaluations and refills, and joint injections.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in TBI, Stroke, Spasticity Management, Amputee Care.
• Interest in medical-legal cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction for the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation program.
• Manage patients on the 20-bed acute rehab unit with diagnoses including Stroke, TBI, SCI, orthopedic injuries, LE amputation, cardiac/pulmonary DEB, Guillain-Barré, and complex medical conditions.
• Handle rare weekend call, limited to potential admissions when covering.
• Perform occasional outpatient services, with flexibility based on interests.
• Conduct EMG procedures, including nerve conduction studies.
• Evaluate and treat patients with spasticity, migraines/headaches, and other neurological conditions.
• Perform joint injections.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Conferences.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team including NPs, APPs, therapists, and nurses.
