About The Position
The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to join its dedicated team on the Liberty Campus. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality reconstructive and elective cosmetic surgical services while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. This role emphasizes both clinical excellence and strong engagement with the local community.
Requirements
- MD/DO or equivalent
- Board Eligible/ Board Certified in Plastic Surgery
- Eligible for licensure in Missouri and Kansas
Responsibilities
- Perform a full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Breast reconstruction and reduction, Skin cancer reconstruction, Hand surgery, Trauma and cancer related flap coverage, Wound care, Basic Facial Trauma, Elective cosmetic procedures
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including follow-up visits
- Participate in on-call rotation for trauma and emergency consults
- Collaborate with orthopedic, vascular, colorectal, gynecology, cardiothoracic, urology, general and neurosurgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, and primary care providers
