About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a physiatrist for a full-time faculty position with training and interest in inpatient rehabilitation at a free-standing, community-based rehabilitation hospital. This individual will be hired at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor (tenure or non-tenure track) based on experience. Additionally, faculty members are tasked with delivering lectures to PM&R residents and students, as well as participating in scheduled Grand Rounds sessions, contributing to the academic and professional development of the medical community. Special interest in medical management of rehabilitation needs for patients during inpatient rehabilitation including medically complex, neurologic and orthopedic diagnoses. Collaborate with referring services and other departments as appropriate to ensure transitions across the continuum of care. Establish a community-based consultation service at other locations as appropriate. Provide care in ambulatory clinics for general and/or neurologic physiatry patients.

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and Kansas
