About The Position

Sanford Clinic is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric physician to join this newly established outpatient only practice. This new facility has a large service area and offers on-site lab and radiology services. Visiting specialties include Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry and more. The practice is located in Minot, North Dakota, known as "Magic City," a thriving community with a population of over 77,000 in the micropolitan area. Minot boasts the annual ND State Fair, Norsk Hostfest, Minot State University, and a vibrant arts scene including a symphony orchestra, opera company, art museum, ballet theater company, contemporary dance companies, and community theater companies.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Pediatric program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/sub-specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
Demonstrate at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months (either through residency log or quality profile/clinical setting activity documentation).
If not applying directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from the hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications. If a quality profile is not available, documentation of clinical setting activity for the last 12 months is required.

Nice To Haves

More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.
Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients from birth to young adulthood (21 years of age) concerning their physical, emotional, and social health.
Treat acute and chronic disease, including major complicated illnesses.
Provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies (if applicable to setting).
Assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.
