Physician Pediatrician (Arleta)
About The Position
This position provides medical services for children, including diagnosis and treatment of patients for acute medical care. The role involves meeting with patients in a clinic setting, providing diagnostic assessments and treatment of common health problems in children, and referring patients for specialized diagnostic treatments as needed. The physician will provide patients with comprehensive information for informed decision-making, coordinate with the patient care team to develop treatment plans, and assess and report on patient progress. Maintaining current and accurate records, interacting professionally with patients and their families, and considering patient cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors are key aspects of the role. The position also requires responding to medical emergencies as needed and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Medical degree or equivalent.
- Valid CA State Medical License and be Board-Eligible or Board-Certified.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to pass required pre-employment health and background screening.
- BLS/CPR certified.
- Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
- High level of professionalism, patient service, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the Board-Certified principles and practices of modern pediatric medicine.
- Knowledge of preventative medicine.
- Ability to positively and effectively represent the organization.
- Ability to perform duties skillfully and effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications and eClinical Works (eCW) or similar.
- Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions.
- Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pediatric experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Responsibilities
