Physician - Palliative Care
About The Position
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System located in Spartanburg, SC currently has an opening for a full-time, board certified Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician to join the Palliative Care and Hospice teams of Spartanburg Regional. This physician will work alongside two physicians, six advanced care practitioners, nurses, chaplains, social workers, and administration to provide palliative care in the community and in specialized office based practice as well as inpatient consultation. For nearly 15 years, Spartanburg Regional has fostered a strong palliative care service that has grown to serve patients throughout our system and community. The Palliative Care Program is well complemented by a long-standing Spartanburg Regional Hospice Program that includes a freestanding 15-bed Hospice Home. The Upstate of South Carolina is a lush, green area with hot summers and temperate winters. It is a hub of New Southern culture, with a blossoming art and food scene. Requirements
- Full-time
- Board certified Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician
- Must be flexible due to patient load and demands of program
Responsibilities
- Attend IDT meetings
- After-hours and weekend on call (phone call only) no more than 1/4 rotation
- Weekend coverage for inpatient hospice home no more than 1/4 rotation
- Patient related administrative duties
