About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE ENT surgeon to join a successful, well-established practice. This is an opportunity to provide sub-specialty services and customize your practice into your dream opportunity. You will join a high-volume, varied surgical practice in brand new clinic space with 13 exam rooms, all equipped with microscopes and large procedure rooms. The practice has a broad referral base of over 300,000 people with outreach opportunities to Dickinson and Watford City, ND. A new outpatient surgery center is under construction and set to open in July 2021. You will join a team of two physicians, two APPs, and support staff within the department. Community-wide shared call with other locations (1:5) is in place.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Demonstrate at least 50 otolaryngology procedures in the last 12 months.
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Otolaryngology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit patients (if applicable to setting).
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultation on comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients of all ages presenting with diseases, deformities, or disorders of the head and neck that affects the ears, nose, throat, respiratory and upper alimentary systems, and related structures of the head and neck.
  • Provide head and neck oncology and facial plastic reconstructive surgery.
  • Treat disorders of hearing and voice.
