About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking an Otolaryngologist Hospitalist at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role is part of a busy, well-established, full-service otolaryngology department with fellowship-trained surgeons, boasting the longest continuous running ENT program in Wisconsin. The position features a 7-day on/7-day off schedule, with 10 hours of onsite work and 14 hours of call from home per rotation, plus one OR day per week. The practice offers a comprehensive array of cases, a full-scope ENT practice, and a well-established referral base. Advanced training or experience in Laryngology or Otology is a plus. The department provides a collegial environment with exceptional support, dedicated staff, and PA support for call coverage. The clinic space is fully remodeled with state-of-the-art equipment, including two dedicated procedure rooms, an adjacent Audiology Department, onsite Speech Pathology for swallowing studies, and a Vestibular Lab for dizziness testing. Collaboration with various other specialties supports comprehensive patient care. Physicians are encouraged to participate in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated residency in Otolaryngology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application, must have completed residency training within the last five years and achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless waived.
  • Demonstrate at least 50 otolaryngology procedures in the last 12 months (either through residency log or quality profile from current hospital privileges).
  • If a quality profile is not available, documentation of clinical setting activity for the last 12 months is required, demonstrating at least 50 otolaryngology procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit patients (if applicable to setting).
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultation on comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients of all ages.
  • Treat diseases, deformities, or disorders of the head and neck affecting the ears, nose, throat, respiratory and upper alimentary systems, and related structures.
  • Provide care in head and neck oncology and facial plastic reconstructive surgery.
  • Treat disorders of hearing and voice.
